The Optical fibers are housed in loose tubes that are made up of high-modulus plastic and filled with thixotropic jelly. Water blocking yarns are used longitudinally and helically to prevent the cable from water ingress. Copolymer coated steel tape is used to provide crush resistance to cable. Two parallel steel wires as strength members are embedded in the PE/LSZH sheath is the extra feature of the cable.
